Vixotrigine (Raxatrigine) has been developed as an analgesic to treat sciatica and trigeminal neuralgia.

In a study published in Molecular Pharmacology this month, BIOGEN, NEUROSERVICE and Charles River Laborarories have further investigated and characterized the targets and mechanisms of action of Vixotrigine by performing Patch Clamp recordings of human sodium channels in recombinant cell lines and of cultured rodent sensory neurons.
