Esther has managed NEUROSERVICE’s MEA Laboratory since its inception.
As Head of MEA Laboratory, she performs Research & Development for the design,
optimization & validation of new assays. She also manages the technical staff & leads the sponsors’ studies.
She co-founded NEUROSERVICE in 2006 with Dr. Buisson.
Prior to that time, she served as a Research Engineer at Trophos, a drug discovery company
specialized in neurodegenerative diseases.
At the Department of Pharmacology, she developed assays for mitochondrial function assessment & used cellular recording and imaging of cultured neurons with fluorescent probes to design & optimize cell-based sreenings. She also settled, under Dr Buisson’s supervision, a MEA recording system to assess drug candidate properties on main neuronal functions through cultured neurons & acute brain slices recordings.
Esther trained in biochemistry and earned a Master Degree in cellular engineering from the University of Nancy, France.
She published in peer-reviewed journals & patented a robot specially designed to record several MEAs in parallel in 2008.
